This was stated by Esmail Kowsari, a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security Committee, speaking to the Iranian broadcaster Irib, adding that the US president had claimed 75 times that the Strait of Hormuz was open, when in fact it was not. Kowsari also stated that Trump had spoken of an “Iranian defeat” 106 times and had declared that there would be an “imminent agreement” with Tehran 88 times.
