Defense companies are building the greatest number of plants and factories in the history of our country.” US President Donald Trump wrote this on his Truth social media platform, denying reports circulated by US media according to which Washington is running short of missiles for the war in Iran. The tycoon then threatened the “traitors” who spread these claims. “Whoever leaked these traitorous statements is being sought. Long prison sentences will be requested!” Trump said. Previously, the Washington Post had revealed, citing informed sources, that Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had a discussion over the depletion of missile stocks for the war in Iran. The newspaper described a “clash” between the two that allegedly occurred during the Camp David summit this weekend, with Trump reportedly asking Hegseth for explanations regarding the “extreme shortage of ammunition.”
