Turin, Aug. 6 (LaPresse) — During its most recent members’ meeting, held last Monday, July 27, the ApritiCielo Association appointed Maddalena Bumma as its new President, along with the following board members: Nicolao Fornengo (Vice President), Alessandro Sozzetti, Antonio Gugliotta, and Claudia Cominotti.
The ApritiCielo Association, a leading organization in science outreach in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics, has been overseeing and managing the activities of the Turin Planetarium (Infini.to) since 2007. The new leadership marks a strategic transition for the Association, with the goal of strengthening the Planetarium’s role as a bridge between cutting-edge scientific research and the public. “I thank the Region and all the members for the trust they have placed in me. It is a great honor and a stimulating responsibility to take the helm of the ApritiCielo Association,” stated the new President, Maddalena Bumma. “Astronomy and astrophysics have a unique power to inspire wonder and curiosity. Our commitment will focus on making science increasingly accessible, inclusive, and exciting, while continuing to enhance the activities of Infini.to—Turin Planetarium and developing new synergies with local research organizations and institutions.”
