Rome, 7 Aug. (LaPresse) – Gregorio Paltrinieri finished fourth in the 3 km knockout at the European Long-Course Championships in Paris. The 31-year-old from Carpi was pipped at the photo finish by the Frenchmen Marc-Antoine Olivier and Logan Fontaine, who took silver and bronze respectively. Gold went to Hungary’s David Betlehem. The other Italian, Andrea Filadelli, finished tenth. Domenico Acerenza was eliminated in the semi-finals.
