Rome, 8 August (LaPresse) – The spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, has stated that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is conditional upon the US accepting the conditions set by Iran and that “it has nothing to do with the negotiations between Iran and Oman”. “The reopening of this strait is entirely contingent upon the conditions that the Islamic Republic of Iran has formalised and announced. The manner and timing of its reopening depend directly on the extent to which these conditions are accepted by the United States of America,” said the Pasdaran spokesman, according to the Tasnim news agency.
