Madrid (Spain), Aug. 8 (LaPresse) – Spanish police checked the documents of around 5-10% of passengers arriving on flights from Italy, equivalent to an average of 15 people on medium-sized aircraft and 25 people on large aircraft. This was learned from sources at the Spanish Interior Ministry. Each aircraft is checked by between 2 and 4 officers. The checks are carried out by around one hundred national police officers stationed at border crossing points, who perform these duties alongside other tasks.
