(LaPresse) – At a press conference held following the establishment of the Joint Command Centre set up to manage the emergency caused by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia, President Abelardo de la Espriella confirmed that the death toll had risen to 111. The President also provided the following preliminary assessment of the emergency: 111 dead, 87 injured, 37 homes destroyed, 61 buildings collapsed, 18 healthcare centres out of service, 18 roads affected and 1 airport affected.
