Rome, 11 Aug. (LaPresse) – The city of Zaporizhzhia “was struck by North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircon missiles and guided aerial bombs. It was a brutal attack, designed to inflict maximum damage, particularly on civilian infrastructure.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this on X, adding that the current death toll from the attack stands at 6, with 19 injured. “Rescue workers are continuing to extinguish a fire at one of the sites hit,” he reported. Zelensky went on to say that in Kyiv, a missile strike had damaged an infectious diseases hospital and a number of commercial premises. “Drone attacks continue virtually every day in our frontline communities. In Kherson and Kharkiv, electricity substations were hit overnight, causing power cuts. All services are working to restore electricity to households. The Donetsk, Dnipro and Mykolaiv regions have also been hit. In addition to missiles, more than 120 drones have been used against Ukraine, most of them Shaheds,” said the Ukrainian leader.
