Rome, 12 Aug. (LaPresse) – In a post published on Tuesday evening on his Instagram page, rocker Rod Stewart, known for hits such as “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, announced that he had “successfully undergone a routine procedure to have a coronary stent fitted”. This procedure involves widening blocked or narrowed coronary arteries by inserting a tube that allows blood to flow more freely. He was due to perform a series of dates on his US tour this month, including one in Las Vegas. Now, “on the advice of his doctors, he will be taking the next four weeks to recover and regain full fitness before returning to the stage”, his management said.
