Frankfurt (Germany), 14 Aug. (LaPresse) – Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 553 Ukrainian drones overnight, according to a report from the Ministry of Defence in Moscow. The drones were neutralised between 8.00 pm on Thursday, Moscow time, and 8.00 am on Friday in various Russian regions and over the Black and Azov Seas, the ministry said, as reported by Interfax. According to the same source, the drones were shot down in the regions of Novgorod, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Smolensk, Tver, Pskov, Orel, Tula, Lipetsk, Kostroma, Ryazan, Rostov, Leningrad and Moscow, as well as in the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories and in Crimea. The Russian authorities have not provided any information on possible casualties or damage caused by the attack.
