Beirut (Lebanon), 15 Aug. (LaPresse/AP) – The death toll from Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon stands at 11, according to local authorities. This is the highest death toll since the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into force on 20 June. The Lebanese Ministry of Health and the state news agency reported that one of the air strikes, which targeted a house on the outskirts of the village of Ansar, killed seven people, including three children, and injured two others. The second air strike, on the village of Deir al-Zahrani, left four people dead and 17 injured.
