Rome, 17 Aug. (LaPresse) – At the European Athletics Championships, Italy’s men’s 4x400m relay team won gold, propelling Italy to the top of the medal table ahead of Great Britain. The Italian quartet, comprising Edoardo Scotti, Luca Sito, Mohamed Soudassi and Lorenzo Benati, put in a masterful performance to edge out the British team by three hundredths of a second with a time of 2’59″16. Bronze went to the Netherlands.
