Rome, 17 Aug. (LaPresse) – New restrictions at Catania Airport due to Etna’s volcanic activity. This is reported on the airport’s Facebook page. “Due to volcanic activity on Mount Etna and the resulting emission of volcanic ash into the atmosphere, the areas corresponding to sectors B1 and B2 have been closed,” the post reads. “Inbound flights are limited to five aircraft per hour until 2.00 pm today. There are no restrictions on outbound flights. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flight with their airline before travelling to the airport.
