Milan, 18 Aug. (LaPresse) – A fast-track trial has been ordered for Luca Spada, the former ambulance driver and Red Cross worker, who has been charged by the Forlì Public Prosecutor’s Office with aggravated murder. This was ruled by Investigating Judge Ilaria Rosati in relation to the case in which the 27-year-old is accused of the death of Deanna Mambelli, the 85-year-old woman who died on 25 November 2025, whose heirs are represented by lawyers Massimiliano Starni and Massimo Mambelli. The first hearing has been scheduled before the Forlì Assize Court for 15 October 2026 at 9.00 am. The request for an immediate trial relates to the sole charge subject to a pre-trial detention order, for which Spada is currently in prison, and no application for review has been lodged. With regard to the other charges relating to the other cases, investigations are ongoing, and further witnesses are being called, in addition to further expert evidence.
