Milan, Aug. 20 (LaPresse) – “A fall rich in new events at the Gallerie d’Italia of Intesa Sanpaolo, which in the four museums in Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza offer a diverse exhibition program spanning different eras, forms of expression and themes: from the great tradition of Italian painting to photography, from contemporary art to reflections on society and its changes. The success of the Gallerie d’Italia program is also confirmed by visitor numbers. In the first half of 2026, the four venues in Milan, Turin, Naples and Vicenza recorded a total of 434,000 visitors, an increase of 4% compared with the same period in 2025. This result demonstrates the growing interest in the cultural offering of the Gallerie d’Italia.” Intesa Sanpaolo said in a statement, explaining that “eight new exhibitions will accompany the public between autumn 2026 and the first months of 2027, seven at the four Gallerie d’Italia venues and one at the Casa Museo dell’Antiquariato Ivan Bruschi in Arezzo, part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s heritage. A program that combines scientific research, the enhancement of collections and new interpretations of art history, with particular attention to photography and contemporary production.” In Milan, the Gallerie d’Italia in Piazza Scala will open the season with LIBERE! 1946-2026. The Achievements of Women, from September 26, 2026 to January 7, 2027, a photography exhibition curated by Renata Ferri, promoted by Io Donna in collaboration with Gallerie d’Italia on the occasion of the magazine’s 30th anniversary. Through a selection of images, the project retraces eighty years of Italian history through changes in the condition of women: from work to civil rights, from participation in public life to the profound social and cultural changes in the country. The exhibition will be accompanied by a program of initiatives aimed at different audiences, including guided tours for schools and in-depth meetings.
