(LaPresse) – “I have asked the Minister for Civil Protection, Nello Musumeci, to declare a state of emergency in response to the damage caused by the spell of bad weather that has hit various parts of Lombardy.” This was announced by the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, who has tasked councillors Romano La Russa (Civil Protection and Security) and Gianluca Comazzi (Territory and Green Systems) with preparing all the necessary documentation to formalise the request. “I would like to thank Minister Musumeci,” said Fontana, “who has assured me that he will submit Lombardy’s request to the Council of Ministers as soon as possible.”
