Rome, 23 Aug. (LaPresse) – “We are in the midst of an economic, military and security war.” This was stated by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in a televised address, as reported by Al Jazeera. “US President Trump casually claims that they will impose the most severe and terrible sanctions on Iran,” added Pezeshkian, “but we remain steadfast and strive to serve the people in the face of this unequal war.” Pezeshkian went on to say that the United States believed “that if Iran were to fall, it would become like Venezuela”, but “not only has that not happened, but it has become a power that has astonished the world with its resilience, solidarity and cohesion”.
