Milan, 24 Aug. (LaPresse) – The first joint military exercises by the Coalition of the Willing will take place in October–November this year. This was announced by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, during the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing held today in a hybrid format in Kyiv and via video link. This was reported by the Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne. “It is very important to continue to demonstrate our determination and readiness with regard to the security guarantees we have agreed to provide. And the large-scale exercises that our coalition will conduct in October and November will demonstrate its operational readiness and its ability to act following the cessation of hostilities, and this is very important,” Macron said. The exercises had been announced during the previous meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in July. On that occasion, it emerged that in September around 1,500 military personnel from the United Kingdom and France would arrive in Poland to take part in the international exercises involving the coalition countries. According to reports by Polish Deputy Defence Minister Awiel Bejda to TVP Info, the exercises will focus on refining the procedures for the transfer of troops and equipment, Suspilne further reports.
