For Bergoglio today 22 days in hospital, like Wojtyla after attack

Vatican City (Vatican), Mar 7 (LaPresse) – Pope Francis today began his 22nd day of hospitalisation at Rome's Gemelli hospital. A stay, that of Pope Bergoglio, which with today equals, in terms of number of days, another hospitalisation of a Pontiff even if it occurred for a different cause. Twenty-two, in fact, were also the number of days St John Paul II spent in hospital after the 1981 assassination attempt. After being wounded by Ali Agca in St Peter's Square before the general audience on 13 May, Pope Wojtyla was rushed to the Roman hospital. There he was operated on and remained until 3 June.
