Milan, 25 Aug. (LaPresse) – Rapper Tony Boy, stage name of Antonio Hueber, was released from Milan’s San Vittore prison shortly after 7 pm, where he was met at the gates by a number of friends. Among them was Tarig Salaheldin Mohamed Ayman, the man arrested alongside him on Saturday morning and currently under investigation on bail for resisting a public official. Shortly before, the same group had brusquely shooed away a few young fans waiting outside the prison. When the gate opened, there were long hugs and shouts of joy, with cries of “hi bro” and “great”. The group then got into a black Land Rover loaded with suitcases – the same vehicle in which the two had been stopped on Saturday – and set off for Padua. In the Veneto regional capital, the 26-year-old singer will serve his house arrest at his parents’ home. The measure was ordered later that day by investigating magistrate Chiara Valori, who upheld the arrest on the spot solely on the grounds of possession of an unlicensed 6.35-calibre Beretta pistol and around fifty rounds of ammunition. The judge, however, rejected the prosecution’s application for pre-trial detention on the charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine, marijuana and hashish. The hearing to validate the arrest took place that morning before the same judge and lasted just over an hour.
