Milan, 28 Aug. (LaPresse) – Russia and the United States discussed proposals with “elements of compromise” at the summit on 15 August in Anchorage, Alaska. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, in an interview with the television channel RBC. “In Anchorage, we discussed the proposals that” US President Donald Trump’s special envoy “Steve Witkoff had presented a week before the meeting – Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about them – and which contained some elements of compromise, but were based on the reality that had developed on the ground,” said Lavrov. “When I say ‘on the ground’, I also include the referendums that took place there. They were based on these realities, with a few minor compromises,” the Russian minister added.
