According to NBC, Hegseth is reportedly considering the possibility of standing in the 2028 presidential election and has discussed this with close friends and colleagues. “100 per cent false,” Hegseth wrote on his social media. “We told NBC this, but they keep lying by citing anonymous ‘sources’,” Hegseth added, emphasising that “My sole aim: to make the Department of War great again”.
