The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute through Piotrowski, before Monza equalised in the 37th minute via Colpani. Udinese scored again in the 45th minute through Kamara, capitalising on a serious error by goalkeeper Thiam. In the 48th minute, Udinese made it three through Ekkelenkamp, with a superb right-footed strike from outside the box. Juric’s side seemed to find their rhythm and pulled one back in the 63rd minute with a header from the ever-reliable Varela. It was the Brianza-born striker’s second league goal of the season. This was Udinese’s first win of the season, following their draw with Como. This is Juric’s Monza side’s second defeat in as many matches. The battle for survival will be extremely tough.
