Milan, 29 Aug. (LaPresse) – In a letter sent to Rai, seen by LaPresse, Sigfrido Ranucci’s lawyers, Roberto De Vita and Stefano Rossi, express “formal objection to the employer’s decision” to initiate an editorial reorganisation of *Report* “and of any consequences arising therefrom, the legitimacy of which is contested in its entirety, with the express reservation of all legal action, including interim and emergency measures, aimed at securing the cessation of its effects and the restoration of the previous situation, as well as compensation for all consequential damages”. “In contesting the communicated decision as of now – given that the justifying grounds put forward in support of Dr Ranucci’s removal from the presentation and editorial responsibility of the programme *Report* are manifestly unfounded, both in fact and in law – we note, first and foremost, that it is based on exceptionally serious assessments concerning Dr Ranucci’s credibility, authority, independence and professional impartiality, without, however, the notice setting out any specific, concretely established fact attributable to him that would justify such assessments”, the letter emphasises.
