Washington (USA), 31 Aug. (LaPresse) – President Trump and his closest advisers are considering the possibility of carrying out limited strikes in the Strait of Hormuz to prevent Iran from rebuilding its radar and missile capabilities to attack ships. Axios reports this, citing three US sources familiar with the administration’s plans. The plan, drawn up last week by the US Central Command (Centcom) and backed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, had not been approved by Trump before this weekend’s exchange of fire with Iran. However, Axios reports, the president could give it the green light following the new escalation.
