Germany, Moscow: “Berlin will face an appropriate response for the closure of the consulate in Bonn”

Milan, 1 September (LaPresse) – “Both the Russian House and our Consulate General in Bonn have long been harassing the ruling elite. Now they have concocted a pretext. Well, they will receive an appropriate response.” This was stated to the Tass news agency by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, commenting on Germany’s decision to close the Russian House in Berlin and the Russian Consulate General in Bonn. “Using a completely implausible and specious pretext, Berlin has once again strained bilateral relations,” added Zakharova, “as usual, no convincing or serious evidence has been presented. There simply isn’t any, and there cannot be!”
