(LaPresse/AP) – The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has claimed the lives of over 3,000 people out of a total of more than 6,100 confirmed cases, according to the latest government figures released today. Figures from the Congolese Ministry of Health show that the outbreak has recorded 6,186 confirmed cases, of which 3,007 have resulted in deaths. It remains the fastest-growing Ebola outbreak ever recorded.
