Fed: “U.S. Economic Activity Has Increased at a Moderate Pace”

Rome, Sept. 2 (LaPresse) — Economic activity in the U.S. has increased at a “moderate” pace since early July. This is according to the Fed’s Beige Book. Ten of the twelve Federal Reserve districts reported growth ranging from “mild to moderate,” while two districts saw no change. Overall, the report explains, consumer spending “grew slightly,” and reports highlighted both greater price sensitivity and solid demand for high-end purchases.
