Turin, 3 Sept. (LaPresse) – “It is an extraordinary honour for the prestige and tradition of our cinema. We have described him as the most Italian of Americans and the most American of Italians. It is a tangible sign of something new that is taking place and of a return to the international vocation of our film industry.” This was stated by the Minister for Culture, Alessandro Giuli, at the opening of the Italian Pavilion at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido di Venezia, regarding Martin Scorsese’s willingness to take on the role of Honorary President of the David di Donatello Awards.
