Milan, Sept. 5 (LaPresse) – Before the Inter-Napoli match, Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez received the Paolo Rossi Award, the AIC recognition for the top scorer in the Italian league. The award, established in 2011 by the Italian Footballers’ Association for the top scorer in Serie A and named for the past six seasons in memory of ‘Pablito’, was presented to the Argentine by Nerazzurri President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta and AIC President Umberto Calcagno. Lautaro, who scored 17 goals in Serie A in 2025/26, receives the Paolo Rossi Award for the second time in his career, having already won it for the 24 goals he scored in 2023/24. The award is the latest in a long series for the Nerazzurri captain, who thanks to his performances last season had already won the Best Striker title and the top scorer award presented by Lega Calcio Serie A, as well as being included in the AIC’s ideal team of the 2025/26 championship.
