Rome, 7 September (LaPresse) – A new mission to the US dedicated to 12 Italian SMEs with high potential for innovation and growth abroad, hailing from various regions within key industrial clusters – particularly those relevant to the aerospace sector – and identified by the Bank in collaboration with Innovit (Italian Innovation and Culture Hub) to support their growth in Silicon Valley. This initiative by Intesa Sanpaolo aims to help strengthen the international growth of the Italian manufacturing sector. The mission forms part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s global strategy to support the positioning of Italian industry abroad and, in particular, the activities of the Banca dei Territori Division led by Stefano Barrese, which are geared towards financing new initiatives and overseas offices of Italian SMEs, facilitating their engagement with foreign investors, and supporting the international development of high-tech sectors that are strategic for the growth of the Italian economy worldwide. The Intesa Sanpaolo mission was led by Stefano Barrese, Head of the Banca dei Territori Division, accompanied by Anna Roscio, Executive Director of Sales & Marketing for Corporate Clients at Banca dei Territori, and Nicola Baiocchi di Silvestri, Country Manager for the USA & Americas at the IMI CIB Division. Supported by Massimo Carnelos, the Italian Consul-General in San Francisco, and Filippo Fusaro, Director of the ITA’s Houston office, the event was organised thanks to the Italian Innovation Centre, directed by Alberto Acito and established at INNOVIT, which is based in San Francisco. Key components of INNOVIT also include the ITA (Italian Trade Agency) and the IIC (Italian Cultural Institute San Francisco).
