Rome, Sept. 7 (LaPresse) – Democratic New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has harshly responded to Donald Trump’s recent post, in which the president showed a map of the state renamed “New America.” “The name of New Mexico is not up for discussion: it has been ours since before the United States existed,” the governor wrote Sunday in a post on X. “As the president seeks to distract Americans from his disastrous war in Iran, gas prices continue to rise. Americans are also spending more at the grocery store, losing access to healthcare and wondering whether they will ever be able to afford a home,” she added.
