My remark was intended purely from a political perspective.” This was stated by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in a post on X, regarding certain comments made by the club’s owner on the sidelines of a meeting organised in Naples by Forza Italia. “I believe that, in recent years, Elly Schlein should have taken her place at the political table, rather than repeatedly condemning and constantly expressing dissent. The opposition’s ideas and political vision may well be appreciated by those in government,” he explained, “but if conflict is fuelled every single time, then it becomes tiresome and one therefore risks becoming ‘unwatchable’.”
