Rome, 10 Sept. (LaPresse) – The Review Court in Rome has confirmed Valter Lavitola’s pre-trial detention and the charges against him, including the aggravating circumstance of using Mafia methods. The businessman therefore remains in custody, accused by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office of being the instigator and organiser of the bomb attack on the presenter of *Report*, Sigfrido Ranucci, which took place in October 2025 outside his home in the municipality of Pomezia, in the province of Rome. Sergio Cola, Lavitola’s defence lawyer, has announced that he will appeal to the Court of Cassation.
