Milan, Sept. 10 (LaPresse) – Milan Malpensa Airport was temporarily closed today at 5:31 p.m. following a fire that broke out on easyJet flight EC03905. According to reports, the aircraft, which was due to depart for Prague with 146 passengers on board, declared an emergency after a fire broke out while it was taxiing along an airport taxiway. All emergency procedures were immediately activated. Passengers were evacuated from the aircraft using the emergency slides. All were unharmed, except for two passengers who suffered minor bruises while sliding down. Following the activation of safety procedures, airport operations were temporarily suspended to carry out checks on the aircraft and the necessary measures to restore the airport to full operational capacity.
