Rome, Sept. 12 (LaPresse) – Alessandro Di Battista landed at Ciampino Airport after about 12 hours of flying from Cuba. The former Five Star Movement MP had been hospitalized in Havana after suffering a medical emergency on August 28 while on the island to produce some reports. Hospitalized as an emergency and operated on there, he was supposed to return to Italy on September 4, but the flight was postponed until today. After a technical stop in Nassau (Bahamas) and one in Luxembourg, the air ambulance carrying Di Battista landed this morning at around 7:10 a.m. at Rome Ciampino Airport, fifty minutes earlier than the time that had been reported by the media. Di Battista is expected to be taken directly to a hospital in Rome to continue undergoing medical tests.
