Kyiv, Sept. 12 (LaPresse) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he is ready to travel to Miami to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin if the latter attends the G20 summit scheduled for December in the United States. He said this in an interview with Deutsche Welle. “Yes, of course. We have to come. We have to meet, talk and make decisions,” Zelenskyy replied when asked about the possibility of a meeting with Putin. According to the Ukrainian president, however, results would matter more than words. “It’s not about words. What I will tell him or what he will want to tell me doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter. What matters are the results. That’s all,” he said. Zelensky and Putin have not met in person since February 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has so far not clarified whether Putin will attend the Miami summit. The Russian leader has not personally taken part in a G20 summit since 2019.
