At present, in fact, as many as 61 provincial capitals are still not covered by armed patrols of young men and women in uniform, and, at a modest cost of 109 million a year, greater security would be guaranteed in many towns and cities. It would be inexplicable for the majority to further delay a decision that could be implemented as early as the coming days. The cost could be covered by the profits from just three days’ trading at a major Italian bank.” So reads a statement from the Lega.
