Milan, Sept. 15 (LaPresse) – “We are continuing on our own track, not on theirs, because so far” our public exchange offer “has gone very well, our shareholders’ meeting approved, with 97% of the capital present”, the capital increase to service the Offer on MPS. This was stated by Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo, when asked about the public exchange offer for Montepaschi launched in June by Ca’ de Sass, on the sidelines of the presentation of the “2026 Survey on Savings and the Financial Choices of Italians. The three dimensions of saving: technology, awareness and discipline”, organized in Milan. “We naturally reciprocate the confidence of our shareholders, continuing along the path we have already taken and I would like to emphasize that it is a very important path for the entire Italian banking system and perhaps not only the Italian one,” Gros-Pietro added.
