Milan, 18 Sept. (LaPresse) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guards, known as the Pasdaran, have reported that on Thursday evening local time they struck a Togolese-flagged oil tanker whilst the vessel was attempting what they described as an “illegal passage” through the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Iranian state media. According to the Revolutionary Guard Navy, the oil tanker caught fire and was brought to a halt following the attack. “Illegal passage through the Strait of Hormuz will lead to nothing but the destruction of the offending vessel,” stated the Pasdaran Navy.
