Greenland, Prime Minister: “Agreement benefits collective security”

Rome, 19 Sept. (LaPresse/AP) – The Greenlandic Prime Minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, said he was satisfied with the agreement reached with the US and Denmark, which, in his view, “not only benefits our collective security, but also the country’s continued development”. Greenland’s Foreign Minister, Múte B. Egede, said he was pleased that “we now have an agreement in place”. “It took a while,” he told the Danish broadcaster TV2. “I’m glad that we finally have a final outcome in place. And it was about time.”
