Milan, 20 Sept. (LaPresse) – Overnight, Moscow and the surrounding region were hit by drone attacks, resulting in two deaths, damage to an oil refinery and over 30 flights being grounded at airports. The Russian news agency Tass reported this, specifying that the two victims were a man killed in Orekhovo-Zuyevo and a woman in Sofyino, in the Moscow region. The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, stated that the air defence forces had repelled the largest enemy drone attack on Moscow, with over 1,600 drones intercepted since yesterday. He also stated that the attack on the capital had been planned to disrupt the elections for the ninth State Duma.
