Milan, 20 Sept. (LaPresse) – A 22-year-old man died last night in the province of Naples after being struck by a vehicle whilst attempting to signal to other passing vehicles an accident involving the Volkswagen Golf in which he was travelling. The incident took place in Varcatura, a hamlet of Giugliano in Campania, along the SS 7 quater at kilometre marker 45+500. The young man, from San Cipriano D’Aversa, was travelling with a 20-year-old friend from Casal di Principe when, for reasons yet to be established, they crashed into a crash barrier. Both are believed to have got out of the car to report the accident, and at that moment a passing car is said to have struck the 22-year-old, killing him instantly. Investigations are being carried out by the Giugliano Carabinieri mobile unit and colleagues from the Varcaturo station.
