Syrian state television Al-Ikhbariya reported that the explosions were heard in the early hours of Monday and that their causes are still under investigation. According to local sources, the explosions reportedly occurred at an ammunition depot belonging to the Syrian Ministry of Defense. However, this information has not been independently verified. Aleppo Governor Azzam Al-Gharib urged residents to remain at home and avoid the area surrounding the explosions. In a statement, he said that hospitals, ambulance teams and emergency services had been placed on high alert, while authorities were monitoring the situation and responding in the event of an emergency.
