Among the structural measures that need to be implemented urgently is the rebalancing of the tax burden and general system charges on electricity bills for businesses of different sizes, because today they penalize small companies that are forced to pay for large energy-intensive companies as well. Our businesses are not asking for privileges, but for clear rules and fair conditions to compete in Europe. If we want to defend Made in Italy and truly support businesses in the energy transition, we cannot continue to make smaller companies pay a higher price precisely for the energy needed to produce.” This was stated by Confartigianato President Marco Granelli, commenting on an analysis presented during the 22nd edition of the annual ‘Energies and Sustainability Confartigianato High School’ convention, organized by the Confederation in cooperation with the energy consortia Caem, CEnPI and Multienergia.
