At the United Nations General Assembly, we will discuss how to achieve peace through joint efforts.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on Telegram on the eve of the UN General Assembly. “Russia is not slowing down its escalation and is sending many signals that it is prepared to extend the war,” Zelensky emphasised, also referring to the “brutal targeted Russian bombardment of Zaporizhzhia” which began last night. “Nine-storey residential blocks, a university building, a shopping centre and a boiler house have been damaged. At present, five people have been injured and some residents have been evacuated. A woman died in Lozova, in the Kharkiv Oblast, following a drone attack. Three other people were injured. In total, the Russians struck ten of our regions this evening and overnight,” the Ukrainian president added.
