(LaPresse) – “Right now, what matters is who’s got match fitness, because there are always difficulties in September’s fixtures.” So said Roberto Mancini today at the federal training centre in Coverciano, Florence, where the manager is beginning his second spell in charge of the Azzurri as he prepares for the four Nations League fixtures: on the 25th in Rome against Belgium, then on the 28th in Bursa, Turkey, on 2 October in Paris against France, and finally on the 5th in Bologna for the return fixture against the Turks. “I’m here to win as quickly as possible,” he added. “Building a team with these young players intrigues me, and I’m sure we’ll have some success. Lots of young players with technical and physical quality are coming through – better than in previous years.”
