(LaPresse) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has left for New York, where he will take part in the United Nations General Assembly and “defend the positions of the Islamic Republic”, according to state media in Tehran. Before his departure, Pezeshkian stated that he would raise “the grievances of the Iranian people, the crimes that have been committed and the mistrust that has arisen”. “We have sat down at the negotiating table on several occasions and signed agreements, but unfortunately the whole world has seen how commitments have not been honoured and written agreements have been breached,” said the Iranian leader.
