(LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump is set to urge Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, during their meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, to reach a ceasefire with Russia in the energy sector. Over the weekend, Kyiv stepped up its attacks on the Russian energy sector, launching the largest raid reported so far in the Moscow region. “Russia has unfortunately lost control of its oil industry due to the war with Ukraine,” Trump wrote yesterday on Truth. “Numerous diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of action,” he added, “this absurd and endless war with Ukraine must end.”
