(LaPresse) — “I was really torn apart on social media.” That’s what Isabella Marsilio, the teacher at the Giovanni Verga middle school in Rome who was stabbed last Friday by a 13-year-old student, said in an interview conducted by journalist and host Milo Infante for the episode of “Verità Nascoste” airing tonight, Tuesday, September 22, in prime time on Rete Quattro. The teacher discusses the controversy that erupted on social media following the attack and her relationship with the boy who intervened to stop the assailant. “I was really torn apart on social media, evidently because I wasn’t allowed the freedom to have a Facebook page with posts or a few brief statements that upset some users,” Marsilio tells Infante. “To those who condemned me by making me out to be the villain of the situation, I have nothing more to say. All that hatred they poured on me had absolutely nothing to do with what had happened; it really was something that had no connection whatsoever to the attack I suffered.”
